Being able to study oversea is a dream come true for Ningru Sut Seng Du and Moo Thaw, students from Myanmar. The two students are among many Myanmar students currently studying at the eight university in Hong Kong. Sut Seng Du, Kachin ethnic is a year three student, major in Music at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Moo Thaw, Karen ethnic, a year two student, major in Business administration at HKBU. Experienced in Hong Kong is not particularly happy for the two students, who constantly struggle with their grade point average and cultural difference. The difference in education system and cultural are pressure that required the two students to take longer time for the adjustment in the beginning. Having been brought up in conflict affected environment, the two tend not to talk about themselves or their problems. In 2018, the Education Bureau (EDB) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region announced the launch of the Belt and Road Scholarship (Myanmar) to attract outstanding students from Myanmar to pursue undergraduate studies in Hong Kong from 2019/20 academic year. Since the education system in Myanmar is not up to the standard, Myanmar students who plan to study in Hong Kong may experience similar situation or not, it is depend on education standard in Myanmar. Another question to be considered is that whether Hong Kong is the best choice to study abroad.
